There was a lot of activity in Cadence in 2015 — with even more to come in 2016.
This year, we welcome the opening of two new schools: Lake Mead Christian Academy and Pinecrest Academy. Both schools are set to open in August for the 2016/2017 school year.
Pinecrest Academy is a public choice, tuition-free charter school and will open with Kindergarten through 9th grade classes, expanding to add an additional grade each year until 2019.
Lake Mead Christian Academy’s new campus is an expansion of and will complement LMCA’s existing 5.6-acre location on Lake Mead Parkway (land also donated by The LandWell Company in 1995.) The new campus will serve grades 7 to 12 and will include an academic building with 25 classrooms, a multipurpose room and a sports field as part of the first phase.
A community pool and 2,000-square-foot splash pad will open in May exclusively for residents of Cadence –providing picturesque views of the Las Vegas Strip.
By spring 
2017, Cadence will welcome its first grocery store – a Smith’s Marketplace. This 140,000-square-foot store will feature grocery items and housewares, along with a fuel station. This will truly make Cadence a one-stop place for living and shopping.
Additionally, Cadence is working with other well-known builders to bring even more home diversity to the community.
