The LandWell Company, the real estate development division of Basic Management, Inc. and developer of Cadence will donate a 14-acre parcel of land at Cadence to Lake Mead Christian Academy (LMCA).

The new campus is an expansion of and will complement LMCA’s existing 5.6-acre location on Lake Mead Parkway (land also donated by The LandWell Company in 1995.) The new campus will serve grades 7 to 12 and will include an academic building with 25 classrooms, a multipurpose room and a sports field as part of the first phase.

“Lake Mead Christian Academy has a reputable name in our community and this partnership not only marks the expansion of the school, but also of our long-standing relationship,” said Mark Paris, CEO of The LandWell Company. “Lake Mead Christian Academy will soon call Cadence ‘home’ and as Cadence grows, we will continue to consider options to further boost the education offerings in Henderson.”

“We are very grateful to The LandWell Company for their continued support and specifically for this donation, which is two and a half times more land than our existing school – holding so much promise for the youth of Henderson,” said Sue Blakeley, Lake Mead Christian Academy Administrator. “We have served students since 1989 and the expansion of our campus provides us the opportunity to broaden our commitment to the community.”

The first phase of construction is expected to begin immediately with the new campus scheduled to open in August 2016.
