Cadence opened a new 5-acre adventure playground featuring areas for younger children as well as older children and teens.

The playground features a climbing wall, timber climber, balance net, play tunnel, landscape stumps, a rope climber and slides galore. The highlight of the playground is the boomerang net climber, a 10 foot high, 80 foot long structure that lets children climb up and down, back and forth, and even scale across the top.

“It was important to design a playground that had all ages in mind,” said Cheryl Gowan, spokesperson for Cadence. “So many times play areas are designed for younger children. We felt it was necessary to provide an area where older children and teens could test their skills and abilities.”

The adventure playground also features a picnic area and pavilion as well as turf areas so families can enjoy time together.

The adventure playground is located near the pickleball courts and pool complex in Cadence’s Central Park.

The 50-acre Central Park provides a gathering place for Cadence residents and their guests. Central Park features not only the new adventure playground but also a separate play area and splash pad for younger children, an amphitheater, picnic areas, and a resident-only six-lane lap pool and 2,000 square foot splash pad.

Central Park also features free Wi-Fi with outlets to recharge devices in the amphitheater.

“We’re a connected society nowadays so it’s important to have Wi-Fi access,” Gowan noted. “So many people work remotely, email or text friends, or just want to watch a movie or read an e-book outside. They can do all of that at Central Park and not have to worry about battery life.”

More features are still being added to Central Park.

“We have approximately 25 acres done but still have another 25 to go,” says Gowan. “In terms of what’s next, we’re listening to our residents and taking their feedback into consideration.”

Cadence will also feature a nearly 100-acre sports park that will include basketball courts, Little League diamonds, and soccer fields.

These areas are located in a separate area from Central Park as there will be a bit more noise and lights associated with these types of sports, according to Gowan.

Cadence is located in Henderson off Lake Mead Parkway and Sunset Road. The 2,200-acre community features four builders, 30 models and 55 floor plans. Visit cadencenv.com or call 702-558-9366 for more information.
